Hello everybody This is my last blog, so I'm going to do an evaluation of blogging. I remember the first blog i writte was about me, so i felt a little intimidated of exposed personal data in the internet, but then, i thought that i was exaggerating. So i got relaxed. In next blogs i'm started to write faster. I think blogging helped me to write better in english, because with the practice i incorporated new vocabulary and i started to searching new ways to say some things in order that not repeating the same words. once in a while I had to learn words relating to my career, like weave, pottery, relief, burlap, etc. In my blog number seven, i got exited of writting about the weavers of lo hermida, so i did a very long blog, i belive that was my best blog ehehe. Hello everybody The theme to write today in my blog is "a country i'd like to visist in the future". I'd like to visit China, they have too many different things to Chile, food, language, landscapes, etc. I would travel to China mainly to learn chinese, because is a milenary language and have distinct letters/simbols to spanish. Also is related to maputhüngun in a few pronunciations, so would be interesting comparing this two languages. I like too much to talk to people, so it would be a real challenge to do it in chinese hehe, also because chinese people are different on they corporal language to the chileans or latin people, for example they greet with a bow I would like to travel to china also to learn other technics or ways to do pottery, maybe to study in a workshop. So, I think I would like to stay a semester or a year. Well, those things could be planned in advance, but if I ever go to China I would like to improvise my plans depending on the things...

Session #8

Hello everybody Today I'm going to talk about a subject i've enjoyed this semester. Well, this semester i have a lot of subjects, seven in total, and almost all i've enjoyed. But i choose "maputhüngun", because it is the most different subject that i have now. I like this subject because when you are learning other languages you can see the differences between your traditional culture and the new you are learning, because the lenguages are a clear reflection of the culture that uses it. In class we see different things, from grammar to Mapuche religion. Sometimes it is very hard, because the conjugate verbs are distinct from Spanish and English. For example spanish have six personal pronouns, three singulars and three plurals. In maputhüngun are nine: iñche, eimi, fei, iñchiu, eimu, feiengu, iñchiñ, eimn, feiengün. They have 3 pronouns singulars, 3 duals, and 3 plurals. Sometimes you can conjugate an adjective, like kofke (bread), transform it to ko...

Session #7

Today I'm going to talk about someone that I admire: Patricia Hidalgo and Maria Teresa Maradiaga. These women are weavers of burlap. They invented a new way how to burlap in dictatorship, with few materials: burlap sacks, wool, and patchwork of cloth, because they were very poor. They are from Lo Hermida, a territory whos people organized to land grab and bulding their houses. In thoses years -1973- were a territory with a lot of problems. One was unemployment, so Patricia and Maria Terersa started to weavering, with the materials that were in their houses. In the beggining it was innocent weavers, only landscapes, but a little time after they began to represent problems and deficiencies of dictatorship, like the repression or disappearances of people. Also they represent the ways that the people organizated in the land grab to survive, like common pot. Representated daily life on land grab. When the tissues were ready , they sold it to "vicaria de la solidari...

Hi Today i'm going to talk about my favourite artist. Is very hard select only one artist or piece of art hehe. I wanna talk about of "Mural relieve", a sculpture made it for Federico Assler on 1982, located in Providencia in the bulding "Forum". first time I saw them was when I was like 4 or 6 years old. I remember that I acompanied my dad to pay health insurance on the bulding Forum. When i saw the sculpture i touched it and stayed a long time there. The sculpture consists of a big wall that has relief. Covers 220 square meters. this relieves are lines made of concrete distributed by big 7 plates. I dont know what the artist wanted to say, but when i saw i fell the lines are moving, so its seems as if the wall have movement. When I grew up, I found others sculptures of Federico Assler in Santiago, one in "park of sculptures", other in the GAM, and other in University in the faculty of arts. I like very much all of them but my favourite is "Mura...

Hi, Today I'm going to talk about my favorite picture, but isn't only one, are 3 pictures. In these photos you can see a cat in the first plane, is a small cat, in one of the pictures is loking the horizon, in other two is looking the camera. I took them like 3 months ago in a house of a friend because i wanna change my wallpaper of cellphone, so this cat came to me and put on my legs. The name of the cat is "China", I always ask to my friend why she is called china but my friend answered me that his brother chose the name. I think her name is "China" because her eyes are exorbitant. China is 4 years old, and the family of my friend picked up from the streets of santiago when she was very young. I like this pictures because they make me tender, so always when i see my phone i see China with her exorbitant eyes. see you next week!

Hello everybody Today I'm going to talk about one of my favorite albums: Bello Barrio of Mauricio Redolés. This album is from 1987, has 20 songs, that 9 are poems. Redolés is a chilean musician born in 1956.   When I was in 2do medio, I found this album because a teacher taught us a poem called "No importa" of Redolés , I liked it very much, so i wanted in the internet. The poem is in the album "Bello Barrio" with others poems and songs. I like this album because has a lot of identity of chileans. like "ya no tengo" or "chilean bussines" , or "blues de santiago". I have a lot of anecdotes with this album. I remember too, when I met one of my best friends of university, one of our first conversations started because i showed her the song "nutrias en abril", she laughed a lot and we became friends. xD See you next week!
